Pakistan can assist CARs in bringing Banking Sector Reforms: Shaukat TarinISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again made a reshuffle in the Federal Cabinet and appointed Shaukat Tarin as the Minister for Finance and Revenue.

Shaukat Tarin is the fourth Finance and Revenue Minister in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) tenure spanning nearly 28 months.

Prior to him, Asad Umar, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, and Muhammad Hammad Azhar held the post respectively.

As per the notification, Shaukat Fayaz Ahmed Tarin has been appointed as the Federal Finance and Revenue Minister while Muhammad Hammad Azhar, who was earlier serving as the Industries & Production Minister with the additional portfolio of Finance Revenue has now been appointed as the Minister for Energy.

The Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Makhdoom Khusro Bukhtiar has now been assigned the portfolio of Minister for Industries and Production.

The Science and Technology Minister Fawad Ahmed Chaudhry will now serve as the Minister for Information Technology while Syed Shibli Faraz has been appointed as the Minister for Science and Technology.

Likewise, the Federal Minister for Energy Omar Ayub Khan has now been appointed as the Minister for Economic Affairs.

Chief of the Air Staff expressed his gratitude for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class. On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
