KARACHI, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the Chinese Consulate in Karachi on Thursday, and met the Chinese Consul General Yang Yongdong.
Matters of mutual interest and security of Chinese nationals were discussed during the meeting.
The interior minister briefed about the steps taken for the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan, especially in Karachi.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that the security of Chinese citizens is top priority of the government.
The interior minister said that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being strictly implemented for the movement of Chinese nationals. He said that it is our duty to ensure foolproof security of Chinese citizens.
The minister said that enemy Pakistan is trying to destroy the friendship between the two Countries. He said that every such conspiracy of the enemy will be foiled. He also said that no conspiracy to harm Pak-China friendship can succeed.
The Chinese Consul General expressed satisfaction with the security plans.
The Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Agha and Officials of the Chinese Consulate were also present on the occasion.
