ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal government has released Rs 13 billion for repatriation of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) during the fiscal year 2015-16.

So far 285,400 TDPs families had been repatriated to their native towns in FATA, sources at the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions said on Wednesday.

The sources said an amount of Rs 35,000, including Transport Grant of Rs 10,000 and Return Cash Grant of Rs 25,000 was being provided to each family, which was verfied by National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and signed Voluntary Return Form (VRF).

The repatriation of FATA TDPs would be completed till November this year, they added.
