ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that bringing the plundered money back to the Country is amongst the foremost priorities of the government.

Talking to renowned economist Shahid Kardar in Islamabad on Monday, the prime minister noted the illegal flow of money from the poor Countries is the basic reason of their backwardness and poverty.

In the meeting, they also discussed the overall economic situation and the steps to check money laundering.

The Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar, the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Revenue Dr. Waqar Masood were also present in the meeting.

Separately, the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi also met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad) and briefed him about the overall situation of the ports.

They discussed the provision of easy loans to the fishermen and the Karachi situation.

The prime minister directed to take all possible steps for the financial assistance and prosperity of the fishermen.
