HAVELIAN, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday made an appeal to the top judiciary that the prevailing perception be removed that justice is only served to the elite, and that the poor segment of the society is destined to remain lagging behind the richer ones.
“I request the incumbent Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and the next Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmad to play their role to ensure the justice (to underprivileged people),” the prime minister said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Havelian-Mansehra Section of Hazara Motorway.
Imran Khan also offered the government’s all out support to the top judiciary in its endeavor to restore the trust of the masses in the judicial system.
The prime minister further said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has become a whole encompassing project to play a key role in development of Pakistan. He said that CPEC is not the name of a road; rather it is a new vision for development.
Imran Khan said that the government is working hard to transform the economic situation of the Country. He said that we have waived off the duty on all hospital equipment and machinery to encourage investments into hospitals and healthcare. He said that Health Insaaf Cards provided by the government will help the poor receive quality medical care free of cost.
In addition, he said that we are focusing on agriculture and industry to bring prosperity in the Country by providing job opportunities to the youth.
Imran Khan said that the housing project started by government will facilitate 40 allied industries, creating a number of employment opportunities. He said that five million houses will be constructed in five years’ tenure of the incumbent government.
Referring to the political situation, Imran Khan said that those who came to hold the protest in Islamabad could not stay for a few days as they had no objective. He said that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl’s (JUI-F) sit-in had no clear agenda and the seminary students were brought to participate in it on false promises. He said that the selling of religion is the biggest sin.
The prime minister said that the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) also made speeches at the container of JUI-F as they had their vested interests that they wanted to protect. He said that their protest was aimed at diverting the attention from the crucial issue of Kashmir.
Imran Khan said that he will not be pressured by blackmailing of opposition parties. He challenged his political opponents that he will not spare even a single person that plundered the wealth of the nation.
