Government of PakistanReady to talk with Narendra Modi for Pakistan’s progress: PM Imran Khan

BAJAUR, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday reaffirmed the resolve for peace and security in the region, and said he was ready to hold talks with his Indian Counterpart Narendra Modi for the progress and betterment of Pakistan, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

“We don’t want war, we want peace, we want to open the doors of trade but our wish for peace should not be considered our weakness, we know how to defend the Country and we already have,” Imran Khan said while addressing a huge public gathering at Khar area of Bajaur tribal region.

The prime minister though once again admired Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its timely and effective response to Indian aggression but he also rebuked the Indian ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying it was cashing the hatred for their political gains in upcoming election.

Turning to national politics, Imran Khan also categorically said neither anyone would be given any NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) nor any deal would take place with the corrupt people. He said the Charter of Democracy (CoD) was basically the Charter of Corruption.

“Democracy is not in danger, big dacoits are in danger,” he said.

Imran Khan further said the people of tribal districts had given immense sacrifices for Pakistan. He said they had decided to allot three percent of provincial NFC for the development of tribal districts.

Meanwhile, the prime minister also made special announcements for the development of the tribal region which included the establishment of the Small Industrial Zone, skills training for the tribal youth, 8,000 new jobs for the tribal people in health & education sectors, merger of Levies and Khasadar force in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, and Internet Services for Bajaur district.

Earlier the prime minister also launched Sehat Insaf Card Scheme in tribal districts.

While addressing tribal elders at Ghalanai, the Headquarters of Mohmand district, he said the people of tribal districts would benefit from the Sehat Insaf Card like rest of the Countrymen.

The prime minister said the holder of the Sehat Insaf Card would be entitled to get treatment in any hospital up to Rs 720,000 annually.

Imran Khan said Mohmand Dam would be constructed which would not only generate electricity but also irrigated a vast barren land. He said tourism would also be promoted in tribal districts.
