ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain on Thursday highlighted the need to identify the areas of cooperation which may help to further strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and its all-weather friend China.
Taking to a high level Chinese delegation headed by the Vice Administrator SASTIND Xu Zhanbin in Islamabad, Rana Tanveer said Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with China, and appreciated long history of their bilateral relations in all fields. .
The minister said Pakistan-China bilateral relations were focused on welfare of people of both the Countries and were not against any other Country.
The delegation showed keen interest in enhancing collaboration with Pakistan in the defence sector and military trade.
The Chinese delegation also held talks with a Pakistani delegation led by the Secretary Ministry of Defence Production Lt General (retd) Muhammad Ijaz Chaudhary.
During the meeting, matters of Pak-China bilateral defence collaboration came under discussion.
Both sides expressed satisfaction on the level of cooperation in the field of defence production and showed keenness to further expand the existing relations. They ensured smooth implementation of various projects of defence collaboration.
