ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A Qatari delegation met the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood in Islamabad on Monday, and evinced keen interest for investment in different sectors of Pakistan. 

Later talking to Pakistan Television (PTV), Abdul Razak Dawood said that the talks with the Qatari delegation focused on investment opportunities in power, infrastructure, tourism and agriculture.

Abdul Razak Dawood said that Qatar sees Pakistan as an important place for its food security and we have expressed readiness for it. He said that an action plan will be formulated after identification of areas by Qatar for investment.

The adviser on commerce was confident that investment from Qatar will start pouring in Pakistan in next few months.

Responding to a question, Abdul Razak Dawood said that the ministry of petroleum will also discuss with Qatar the import of additional liquefied natural gas (LNG) on long term basis.
