CHICHAWATNI, Pakistani: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday lamented that prosperity was being witnessed all over the Country except Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In his address to a public gathering in Chichawatni near Sahiwal, the prime minister said that the rulers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were busy in the politics of baseless allegations and accusations.
The prime minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) did not believe in the politics of using bad language against its opponents; rather it was committed to serve them with sincere efforts.
Nawaz Sharif said that the PML-N government would continue to pursue its agenda of development and prosperity for the benefit of the masses. He said that whole Pakistan was reaping the benefits of development projects started by the PML-N government without any discrimination.
The prime minister said that the government took numerous steps to improve the welfare of people.
Sharif said that the government passed on the benefit of reduction in oil prices to the people and the price of electricity had significantly been reduced, bringing it down from Rs 18 to Rs 5.25 per unit.
Similarly the price of urea was brought down from Rs 4,000 to Rs 2,500 per bag to facilitate the farming community, he said.
Earlier after his arrival in Chichawatni, the prime minister laid foundation stone of a model cattle market.
