ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has wished the Hindu Community in Pakistan a Happy Diwali.

“Wishing all our Hindu citizens a happy Diwali,” Imran Khan said in a twitter message on Wednesday.

Today (November 7), the Hindu Community living across the Country is celebrating “Diwali” with religious zeal and fervor.

The Hindu Community will celebrate this event at their temples through gatherings of families and decorating their houses and temples with colorful lights.

The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has also congratulated the Hindu Community on Diwali, saying “Happy Diwali to Hindus in Pakistan and around the world, DiWali Symbolises Victory of good over evil, the struggle is continuing.”

The Sindh government has announced a holiday for all its employees belonging to the Hindu Community.

In separate statements, the President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif and the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also wished the Hindu Community a Happy Diwali, and asked those celebrating the festival to make special pray for the Country.
