ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch the Ehsaas District Development Portal “Data4Pakistan” in Islamabad on Tuesday, the first initiative of its kind in the Country that will also provide public access to over 120 development and policy indicators.

The Ehsaas Data4Pakistan Portal will provide an open and public access to poverty estimates for every district along with the development and policy indicators.

The portal currently has six rounds of district poverty and development data, covering the period 2004-2018.

The Data4Pakistan Portal, as a part of Ehsaas strategy, has been developed in collaboration with the World Bank and will be hosted on the Ehsaas website of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division.

What is Ehsaas Data4Pakistan?

A valuable resource for federal, provincial & district level policymakers for decision making.

It is a portal which will have the following;

  • Open and Public Access
  • Poverty Estimates for Every District in Pakistan
  • Over 120 Development & Policy Indicators
  • Six Rounds of District Poverty and Development Data (2004-2018)

The Portal Ehsaas Data4Pakistan will be providing the following;

  • Demography, Health, Education & Employment Statistics
  • Sanitation, Water, Electricity, Gas Supply Information
  • Gender Parity Indices at the District Level

In her statement on Twitter, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the Ehsaas District Development Portal “Data4Pakistan” will prove helpful in the elimination of poverty and promotion of social protection by utilizing modern technology.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the portal will help assess the level of poverty correctly in the Country.
