ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir met with President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Wednesday, and extended felicitations on his appointment as President of Pakistan and Commander in Chief of Armed Forces and conveyed his sincere wishes for a successful tenure.
The COAS apprised the president regarding the ongoing operations of the army against terrorism and highlighted the operational preparedness against conventional threats.
The Army Chief also intimated about the contributions of the Army towards development initiatives, particularly in the regions of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
