ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt General Faiz Hameed held a meeting at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Monday, and exchanged views on domestic and international matters.
The meeting also discussed the current situation arising out of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The president appreciated the steps taken by the government to control the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the Country.
Dr. Arif Alvi also lauded the initiative of the prime minister regarding debt moratorium for the Developing Countries.
Earlier, the Railway Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad and presented him a cheque of Rs 50.1 million on behalf of Railway employees for the Corona Relief Fund.
During the meeting, Sheikh Rasheed informed the prime minister that a train of 30 coaches has been sent to Chaman with the arrangement of isolation for 500 people.
The minister said that Pakistan Railways is also ready to send another train of the same capacity and arrangements to Taftan. He added that for this purpose special medical coaches have been prepared.
Sheikh Rasheed also apprised the prime minister about the situation of hospitals, businessmen and laborers in Rawalpindi city.
