ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has emphasized the need for improvement in quality and standard of health services related to heart diseases in the country.

Talking to the Chairman Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH) Major General (retd) Masud-ur-Rehman Kiani who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Tuesday, the president urged to create awareness among the general public about risks to heart diseases and stated that more deliberate and planned efforts should be made to achieve the stated objectives.

The president appreciated PANAH’s plan to establish a state of the art general hospital for public and assured of his support in completion of the project.

President Mamnoon advised the Chairman PANAH to approach Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) in requesting the private media to air public service messages to create awareness and educate the public for prevention of heart diseases.

The Chairman PANAH briefed the president about the activities of his organization in the service of humanity. The president appreciated the efforts of PANAH to prevent, minimize and control heart related diseases.
