ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada has said that the present government is keen to promoting sports in the country.

Speaking on the occasion of inauguration of National Junior Snooker Training Camp at Sports Complex in Islamabad on Monday, the said that the government is playing important role for the promotion of sports in the country as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has great interest in sports.

The federal minister noted that snooker is very popular in our country and our youngsters are taking great interest in this game.

While appreciating the role of Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association, Riaz Pirzada said that it is very positive that our junior players of snookers will be trained by qualified foreign snooker coach from our brotherly country Iran.

Riaz Pirzada urged youth to actively participate in games and the players who deliver will be rewarded.

Later talking to media persons, Federal Minister Riaz Pirzada said that the incumbent government wants to uplift sports in the country and a conference will be held soon for the betterment of sports.
