ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ambassador of Azerbaijan Khazar Farhadov met the Federal Minister of Industry and Production and Food Security Research Rana Tanveer Hussain in Islamabad on Friday.
During the meeting, the two sides exchange views on matters of mutual interest.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan emphasized the need to work together in areas of mutual interest and said that there are vast investment opportunities in agriculture industry and production.
The federal minister said that there are strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
Rana Tanveer said that Pakistan values relations with Azerbaijan. He said that increase in industry and production, agricultural development is our first priority. He said that special attention is being given to the vision and direction of the Prime Minister of Pakistan on agriculture.
The minister said that agriculture is considered as the backbone of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan earns a lot of foreign exchange every year due to agriculture.
In addition, the minister said that practical steps are being taken to increase exports. He added that the development of industry will stabilize the economy.
