HYDERABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday said despite challenges the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government was completing its term, realized its targets and put Pakistan on road to progress.
While addressing Inaugural Ceremony of Gas Processing Facility at Kunnar oil and gas field in Tando Jam, Hyderabad, the prime minister said the PML-N accomplished what successive government failed to deliver.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said credit went to PML-N to take concrete measures for utilization of Thar coal and Riko Diko gold and copper deposits besides exploiting hydropower potential of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir.
The prime minister said the incumbent government presented its six budgets, which is the best one in the history of the Country. He said besides relief to different segments of the society, tax burden had been halved by bringing the maximum tax from 35 percent to just 15 percent.
Khaqan Abbasi said the Oil and Gas Development Company (ODGC) had proved that it could complete its projects in stipulated time.
Referring to the law and order situation in Karachi, he said situation had now completely changed as compared to 2013 and even foreign investors were visiting Karachi frequently to explore the investment opportunities there.
