KAHUTA, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had developed the political norms to serve people with honesty, adding the ruling party only believed in politics of service to the people, decency and development.
While addressing a public gathering in Kahuta after launching work on rehabilitation and improvement of Rawalpindi-Kahuta Road, the prime minister said there had been various governments in the Country’s history but it was only during the tenure of PML-N that different areas and the Country as a whole had seen unprecedented developmental activities.
Khaqan Abbasi said work on Rawalpindi-Kahuta had been initiated as per announcement of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the project would be completed in one year.
The prime minister announced that a Public University would be established in Kahuta while funds had been transferred for provision of electricity in Kahuta. He said a sports ground had already been established for the youth of the region.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the Country had recorded prominent development in the last three years. He said the chronic shortages of electricity and gas had been addressed by the present government. He said there could be local issues but the overall shortages of electricity had been overcome due to concerted efforts.
