Government of PakistanPML-N being subjected to political vendetta: Marriyum

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was being subjected to political vendetta and it would go the Court of the people.

Talking to a private channel, the minister said that the newspaper of January 8-10 had reported the remarks of an honorable Judge asking a lawyer to appeal against the Hudaibiya Paper Mills Case.

The minister said that the hearing of the Hudaibiya Paper Mills Case by the same judge (Justice Asif Saeed Khosa) was not fair. She said that the same judge heard the Panama Case and the kind of remarks he made about the Sharif family were known to everybody.

Marriyum said that 13 judges and three Courts had dismissed the Hudaibiya Paper Mills Case which was instituted during the dark age of dictatorship for political victimization, adding that even then nothing had emerged from it and even now they would not find anything incriminating in it.

In reply to a question, the minister said that the power of people was with Nawaz Sharif. She said that the next year was the election year and PML-N would go to the people as its workers were fully charged.

Talking about the former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, Maryam said that he was a person who violated the Constitution and was like a damp squib now about whom she did not even want to comment.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that people like Pervez Musharraf even made those institutions controversial with which they had been associated. She said that he was talking about an alliance but he could not even win the election of a Councilor from his own street.
