PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday inaugurated the first phase of FATA University in Peshawar, the first University of merged tribal districts which will provide latest education to the capable students of the area. 

The first phase of FATA University will cost Rs 1.8 billion.

The prime minister also distributed laptops amongst youth who were selected on merit basis from across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Later, addressing the ceremony, he said that 100,000 laptops are being distributed purely on merit basis across the Country.

About the Country’s difficult economic situation, Shahbaz Sharif stressed need for learning from the past.

The prime minister said that this is right time to shape future of the Country with expeditious efforts in agriculture, information technology, minerals, export and other sectors.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the government has devised a comprehensive project to utilize agricultural power as game changer sector for the Country’s economy.
