Islamabad, Pakistan: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on Independence Day of Azerbaijan and paid tribute to Azeri forces for valiantly defending their territorial integrity, reports DND News Agency from Islamabad.

In a Twitter message Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan said:

I extend warmest felicitations to @presidentaz& fraternal people of #Azerbaijan on their Independence Day. We pay tribute to Azeri forces valiantly defending their territorial integrity.

PM Khan demanded resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh issue as per UNSC resolutions.

Radio Pakistan adds:

Prime Minister Imran Khan says Pakistan stands with Azerbaijan in its quest to resolve Nagorno-Karabakh issue as per United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.

In a tweet on Sunday, the Prime Minister also paid tribute to Azeri forces valiantly defending their territorial integrity.

He also extended felicitation to the President and fraternal people of Azerbaijan on their Independence Day.
