ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan on Thursday allocated various portfolios and status to his advisers and special assistants.

Following portfolios and status allocated to advisers to the prime minister;

  • Engineer Amir Muqam, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs with the status of Federal Minister;
  • Irfan Siddiqui, Adviser to the Prime Minister on National History & Literary Heritage with the status of Federal Minister;
  • Jam Mashooq Ali, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Affairs with the status of Federal Minister;
  • Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Aviation with the status of Federal Minister.

Following portfolios and status allocated to special assistants to the prime minister;

  • Syed Asif Saeed Kirmani, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs with the status of Minister of State;
  • Miftah Ismail, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Economic Affairs with the status of Minister of State;
  • Musadik Malik, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Media Affairs with the status of Minister of State;
  • Zafarullah Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Law with the status of Minister of State;
  • Khawaja Zaheer Ahmed, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms with the status of Minister of State.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has a 54-member team including 28 federal ministers, 16 state ministers, five advisers and five special assistants to help in day to day tasks of running the federal government.

Meanwhile, the prime minister also reconstituted the composition of Council of Common Interest (CCI).

The CCI will be chaired by the prime minister with four Chief Ministers, Minister Inter Provincial Coordination, Minister for Industries and Production and Minister for Finance as members.
