TASHKENT, Uzbekistan: The Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar will spend a busy day in Tashkent on Thursday.

Kakar will meet the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to discuss bilateral relations of Azerbaijan and Pakistan, regional and global issues.

The prime minister will attend the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and will also address the meeting, which will be telecast live on PTV News. (tentative time between 11:30 am PST and 1:00 pm PST)

Kakar will also attend the reception organized in honor of the leaders of the ECO Countries.

The interim prime minister is also expected to visit the historical City of Samarkand in Uzbekistan where he will go to the shrine of Hazrat Imam Bukhari.

Anwarul Haq Kakar accompanied by the Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and Caretaker Commerce Minister Gohar Ejaz arrived in Tashkent on Wednesday to attend the 16th ECO Summit.

The delegation was received by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullah Nagmatovich Aripov at Tashkent International Airport.

Later Kakar held bilateral meetings with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Secretary General ECO Ambassador Khusrav Noziri on the sidelines of the 16th ECO Summit in Tashkent.
