ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has warned that further strict action would be taken if anyone would be found guilty in the light of the awaited detailed forensic report by the High-Powered Commission probing the wheat and sugar crises.
While presiding over the Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday, the prime minister said that the forensic report would be compiled by April 25, and if it finds any one guilty, he would be taken to task.
Imran Khan said that he had promised to the public that the finding of the report prepared by an Inquiry Committee under the Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Wajid Zia would be unveiled to them. He said that upon his directive, the report was released.
The Cabinet meeting discussed the latest situation vis-a-vis Coronavirus and the steps taken by the government to contain its spread and offset the negative impact on the economy.

Earlier on Monday as per the findings of the Inquiry Committee which it mentioned in its preliminary report, Khusro Bakhtiar was removed as the Minister for National Food Security while the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen was removed from the Task Force on Agriculture.
The Prime Minister’s Adviser on Establishment Shahzad Arbab was also removed from his position.
Likewise, the Secretary of National Food Security Hashim Popalzai was replaced by Umar Hameed.
