ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Saudi Arabia this month to perform Umrah, media reports citing sources said.

Sources said that the prime minister’s visit to Saudi Arabia will take place either on his way to the United States or on his return.

During his visit, the prime minister will also meet the Saudi leadership and discuss the current regional situation.

However, the confirmation about Imran Khan’s visit to Saudi Arabia is yet to be ascertained officially.

It is pertinent to mention that Imran Khan will visit the United States later this month, wherein he will address the UN General Assembly Session on September 27 in New York.

The prime minister has already revealed that he will raise the issue of Jammu and Kashmir at his address to the UN general assembly, and apprise the World on atrocities being committed against innocent Kashmiris by the Indian authorities in the besieged Valley.

Earlier on September 4, the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir along with the Foreign Minister of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan visited Islamabad, wherein the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi briefed them on the deteriorating situation in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
