KARACHI, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has left for Karachi on Monday morning, wherein he will inaugurate 1320 megawatt Coal-Fired Power Plant set up by China in Hub, Balochistan.

During his day-long stay in Karachi, the prime minister will also meet Members of the Sindh Assembly belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) at Governor House.

Meanwhile in a series of tweets, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Karachi is the economic hub of Pakistan, and the prime minister is committed for the redressal of Karachiites’ grievances and resurrection of City’s lights.

The special assistant said that the people of Sindh have fed up with mere political rhetoric.

Dr Firdous said that the prime minister will pave the way for improving the situation by meeting the leadership of MQM-P and GDA.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Babul-Islam Sindh has a historic importance. She said that it’s their prime responsibility to economically stabilize the Sindh province.
