ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan will participate in the “Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and World Political Parties Summit” being held virtually on Tuesday.
The Chinese President Xi Jinping will Chair the Summit which theme is “For the People’s Wellbeing: the Responsibility of Political Parties.”
Over 500 political parties and over 10,000 political workers and representatives from various parts of the world are expected to attend the virtual Summit.
In the Summit, as many as 21 world leaders including Prime Minister Imran Khan will deliver statements.
A Joint Statement of Proposals will be issued at the conclusion of the Summit.
In a statement, the Spokesperson for the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Hu Zhaoming said that the Summit aims to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in governance between the CPC and political parties worldwide, jointly respond to challenges brought by changes unseen in a century and the global COVID-19 pandemic, enhance the philosophy and capability of seeking happiness for the people, advance world peace and development, and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity.
