Government of PakistanPM Imran Khan says he will visit Quetta today if slain miners...

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he is even willing to go to Quetta today if the Hazara Community buries their loved ones who were subjected to brutal murder in Mach on January 3.

While addressing the Launching Ceremony of the Special Technology Zones Authority in Islamabad on Friday, the prime minister said that he won’t be blackmailed given that the government has agreed to all demands of the bereaved Hazara Community.

“You can’t influence a prime minister by setting a condition when all of your demands have already been accepted,” the prime minister said reiterating his appeal to the dejected families to bury the dead bodies.

The prime minister said that the Mach incident was part of a conspiracy hatched by neighboring India in its attempt to fuel unrest in Pakistan.

Earlier talking to the media persons in Islamabad, the Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon visit Quetta, a key demand by the Shia Hazara Community which continues to hold a sit-in to seek justice for their 11 slain coal miners.

Sheikh Rashid, who earlier himself visited Quetta to pacify the bereaved families and persuade them to bury the dead bodies but his efforts turned fruitless, said that the cooperation of religious scholars has been sought to amicably settle the matter of burial of victims of Machh incident.

The interior minister said that the government is making utmost efforts to further improve the law and order situation in the Country.

Meanwhile, the sit-in staged by the Shia Hazara Community entered the sixth consecutive day on Friday.

The Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Siraj Ul Haq earlier in the day left for Quetta to express solidarity with the Hazara Community.

On Thursday, the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Vice President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz Sharif also visited the sit-in participants and condoled with them over the losses.

So far, all efforts and appeals to the Hazara Community made by Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Opposition leaders asking them to bury the slain miners have gone in vein.
