LAHORE, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan performed the groundbreaking of the LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments in Lahore on Friday.

While addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of the LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments in Lahore, the prime minister reaffirmed the determination to transform Pakistan into a welfare state as per the State of Madina’s principles of rule of law and compassion.

The prime minister said that that the mortgage facility has been introduced after the passage of the foreclosure law to ensure low-cost housing for the poor and fixed income groups.

Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over the increased activity in the construction industry saying the cement sale witnessed a record increase last month.

Furthermore, he said that this is a defining moment for the Country as the war has been waged against the mafias to bring them under the ambit of the law. He noted that only those nations move forward where there is a rule of law.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the government is working to provide Universal Health Coverage to the people. He said that all the households have been covered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa whilst the Punjab government has taken the challenge of providing health cards to each household by the end of this year.

Imran Khan said the network of Panagahs and that of the ‘Koi Bhooka Na Soi’ Scheme will be expanded to the whole Country.

Imran Khan said that a mega project of targeted subsidy will be launched after the completion of the poverty survey in June 2021.

Chief of the Air Staff expressed his gratitude for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class. On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
