ATTOCK, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday visited Punjab’s Attock district wherein he performed the groundbreaking of the 200-bed state-of-art Mother and Child Hospital costing Rs 5.3 billion.
Upon his arrival, the prime minister was given a detailed briefing about the Mother and Child Hospital in Attock aimed at providing quality health facilities to the local and nearby residents especially women.

The Punjab government will complete the 200-bed hospital at a cost of Rs 5.3 billion in two years’ time.
Half of the project cost has been disbursed by the federal government to the provincial government.
While addressing the groundbreaking ceremony, the prime minister said that every citizen of Punjab will have health cards by March 2021 while health insurance has been ensured in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The prime minister said that five Mother and Care Hospitals are being constructed, and they will be completed within two years.
Imran Khan said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government’s foremost priority is to uplift marginalized segments of the society and bring less developed areas at par with the developed region.
