SARGODHA, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of a low-cost housing project in Punjab’s Sargodha district under the Naya Pakistan Housing Program.
Under the scheme, a total of 1,175 houses of three Marla will be constructed at six locations in the Sargodha district.
The Punjab government will provide land as well as other facilities for this project.

The construction work will be carried out by the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) while the mortgage facility will be provided by the Band of Punjab which will enable the deserving people to pay the total amount of a house through easy installments.
As many as 33,528 applications have been received for the housing project and the houses will be allotted through balloting.
Meanwhile, in a tweet, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that the promise of constructing five million houses is now transforming into a reality.
Fawad Chaudhry pointed out that the cement sale is currently at a record level. He said that the development journey will continue.
