ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has felicitated his Indian Counterpart Narendra Modi on winning another five-year term in Office as a result of the Indian Lok Sabha Election 2019, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
In a twitter message on Thursday, Imran Khan congratulated the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the electoral victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies.
Imran Khan said that he looks forward to working with Narendra Modi for peace, progress and prosperity in South Asia.

The 68-year-old Narendra Modi retained his position as the Indian prime minister even with more overwhelming victory after the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) succeeded to win 345 seats in 543-member Lok Sabha. Whereas the Indian National Congress (INC)-led opposition alliance United Progressive Alliance (UPA) could bag just 83 seats.
The BJP had fielded 436 Candidates in various Constituencies across the Country. Of them, 300 emerged victorious whereas out of 421 Congress Candidates, only 53 succeeded.
Earlier the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid also sent congratulatory messages to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his BJP continues to lead in majority of Lok Sabha constituencies.
