ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday presided over a meeting in Islamabad to discuss issues relating to telecom industries.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Industries Hammad Azhar, the Planning Minister Asad Umar, the Finance Advisor Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, the Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari, Senator Faisal Javed and others.
During the meeting, the issues relating to the enhancement of coverage and further sale of the spectrum came under discussion.
Meanwhile, the lawmakers in the National Assembly from Faisalabad including Chaudhry Asim Nazir, Nawab Sher Waseer, Raza Nasrullah and Khurram Shahzad met the prime minister and apprised him about the situation in their respective constituencies and financial assistance disbursed among the deserving families under the Ehsaas Program in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The delegation hailed the initiative of the incumbent government to help the needy people under the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program.
The prime minister directed the lawmakers to play a proactive role in their constituencies to provide relief to the poor people especially in the upcoming holy month of Ramazan.
