ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat held a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Tuesday.
During the meeting, defence and security matters were discussed during the meeting.
The two dignitaries also discussed matters related to strategic and operational preparedness of the armed forces.
Shortly, the prime minister will preside over a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCE) in Islamabad.
It will be the second consecutive meeting of the CCE within 48 hours as earlier on Monday, the prime minister in the CEE meeting had directed for minimum load shedding in the month of Ramazan.
The prime minister said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led federal government was fully cognizant of the problems faced by masses due to power shortage and it would not rest till a significant relief was provided to them.
