ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF) held a Balloting Ceremony for the I-12/1 project in Islamabad.
The Ceremony was attended by the Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada to witness the proceedings.
During the Ceremony, 75 apartments that were previously cancelled were re-balloted by the minister after completion of all necessary procedures.
The housing minister emphasized on handing over the possession of I-12/1 project to the allottees at the earliest.
Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada laid stress on timely completion of all ongoing projects to provide modern residential facilities to the federal government employees and general public.
The minister also commended the Managing Director PHAF Shahid Hussain for his effective efforts in ensuring the timely completion of the project.
The MD PHAF informed the minister that a recent membership drive for cancelled apartments attracted around a hundred applicants with 75 of them being successfully balloted.
The I-12/1 project, launched in 2016, comprises 3200 D&E type apartments, with 90% of construction work already completed.
The possession of these apartments will be offered to allottees very soon.
Additionally, it was noted that an equal quota for allotment of apartments is being maintained for both the general public and federal government employees in both categories in the recent membership drive.
The Balloting Ceremony was also attended by the Secretary Housing and Works Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash along with other senior officers from the ministry and PHAF.
