Government of PakistanPakistan to observe Solidarity Day with Kashmir on Friday: Khaqan

MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Wednesday announced that Pakistan would observe Solidarity Day with Kashmir on Friday (April 6).

While addressing the Joint Session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly and AJK Council in Muzaffarabad held to express solidarity with people of Indian Occupied Kashmir, the prime minister said India would have to abide by the UN resolutions on Kashmir, and also asked United Nations to send observer missions to Indian Occupied Kashmir.

“Pakistan strongly condemns Indian brutality in Occupied Kashmir,” he said, adding the Indian occupation forces had been unleashing wave of terror on innocent Kashmiris for over seven decades but failed to suppress their voice.

Khaqan Abbasi said the International Community must take notice of the Indian forces human rights violations in Occupied Valley. He said Pakistan had asked the United Nations to appoint a special envoy on Kashmir to assess the situation there.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said Kashmir was an internationally recognized dispute and its solution lied in a plebiscite according to the UN Security Council resolutions.
