ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday reiterated that Pakistan would continue to highlight the issue of Kashmir and atrocities being committed by Indian security forces against innocent Kashmiris at international level.

In a meeting with the President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Muhammad Masood Khan at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Monday, the president said that likewise Pakistan would also continue to support Kashmiris’ just struggle to attain self-determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.

Felicitating Muhammad Masood Khan on being elected as AJK President, President Mamnoon Hussain expressed his satisfaction at the successful holding of recent election in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and smooth transition of power to the next elected government.

The president hoped that the newly elected President AJK will utilize his vast experience and abilities to serve the people besides highlighting the Kashmir issue.

Mamnoon Hussain wished the newly elected President AJK well in discharge of his new responsibilities.

President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Masood Khan apprised President Mamnoon Hussain about the overall prevalent situation and thanked him for taking keen interest in the affairs of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
