ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan desires to further enhance bilateral relations with all friendly and brotherly Countries.

Talking to envoys designate of Oman, Netherlands, Mauritius, France and Denmark who met him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Wednesday, the president said that the president emphasized that the whole Pakistani nation is committed to eliminate the menace of terrorism and extremism from its soil.

Mamnoon Hussain stressed that the action against miscreants and terrorists will continue till the achievement of desired goals.

The president said that economy of Pakistan has witnessed smooth upward trend due to the prudent economic measures taken by the incumbent government and this fact has also been recognized by the international institutions.

President Mamnoon underlined that today’s Pakistan provides very conducive environment for great investment and business opportunities, and urged the foreign investors to avail them by investing in diverse areas.

Earlier Ambassador-designate of Oman Sheikh Muhammed Omar Ahmed Al Marhoon, Ambassador-designate of Netherlands Gerarda Adriana Cornelia Maria Stoios-Braken, High Commissioner-designate of Mauritius Rashidally Soobadar, Ambassador-designate of France Marc Barety and Ambassador-designate of Denmark to Pakistan Rolf M. Hay Pereira Holmboe presented their credentials to President Mamnoon Hussain during credentials ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The president felicitated the newly appointed Ambassadors/High Commissioner to Pakistan and hoped that they would work for further strengthening the existing ties of their respective countries with Pakistan.

President Mamnoon also wished the newly appointed envoys a comfortable and pleasant stay in Pakistan.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
