ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have extended felicitation messages on China’s National Day.

“I wish to convey my heartiest felicitations on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China,” Dr. Arif Alvi said in a felicitation letter to his Chinese Counterpart Xi Jinping.

Dr. Arif Alvi said that Pakistan admires the remarkable achievements of the great Chinese nation, which is destined to reach new heights under your visionary leadership. He said that as China advances towards national rejuvenation and prosperity, Pakistan will continue to remain its most steadfast and reliable friend.

The president said that the ties between Pakistan and China have withstood the test of time and will continue to grow from strength to strength.

President Dr. Arif Alvi said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a game-changer that will deliver tangible benefits to the peoples of our two countries.

“Pakistan remains fully committed to further strengthening this unique partnership,” he said. “

“Our prayers and wishes will always be with the people of China. May the dawn of this National Day bring the Chinese people lasting peace, prosperity and happiness,” he added.

China’s National Day is celebrated on October 1

Separately, Prime Minister Imran Khan also sent a felicitation message to the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

“On behalf of the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, I wish to convey my warmest congratulations on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China,” Imran Khan said.

Imran Khan said that Pakistan and China are good neighbours, friends, partners and brothers.

“Our time-tested friendship with China has always resonated deeply with the people of Pakistan. It has a special place in our hearts,” he said.

The prime minister said that as we embark on the journey to mould Pakistan’s development in keeping with the ideals of our foundation, I look forward to working closely with you to further strengthen our All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and realizing the potential of CPEC.

Imran Khan said that China’s remarkable progress over the past decades is an inspiration for developing countries, including Pakistan. He said that the miracle of lifting hundreds of millions of people out of poverty is an achievement that is the envy of the world.

“The Government and People of Pakistan will continue to stand with our Chinese friends in their endeavour to realize national rejuvenation,” he said. “I wish Your Excellency health, happiness and success, and look forward to meeting you in the near future.”
