ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan is poised to move forward on the path of development following successfully anti-terrorism and extremism operations.

In his address at the convocation of Iqra University in Islamabad on Tuesday, the president said that Pakistan is a compassionate society, and the world has also recognized Pakistan’s peace overtures.

The president said that Pakistan’s security forces rendered immense sacrifices to eliminate terrorism. He said that whilst Pakistan has come out of extremism, other Countries including the one in our neighbor is plunging into it. He said that the world should learn from our experiences and successes in the war on terror.

Arif Alvi pointed out that the western countries are closing their borders for immigrants, Pakistan has been hosting 2.5 million Afghan refugees for the last 30 on humanitarian grounds.

Furthermore, the president said that the use of latest technology has generated the influx of knowledge, adding that the education sector has adopted innovation with the passage of time.

Dr. Arif Alvi also said that teachers have a pivotal role in children’s education. He said that we could be an example for the world by improving our education system.
