ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and Iran have agreed to increase bilateral cooperation on the issue of climate change.

The understanding reached in a meeting between Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid and Iranian Minister for Environment on the sidelines of the Conference of the Parties (COP-22) in Morocco.

Zahid Hamid informed the Iranian Minister about some of the major policy initiatives taken by Pakistan government to address the climate change issues.

Earlier, Zahid Hamid visited the Pakistani Pavilion and appreciated the efforts of delegation to project the climate change effects on culture and tourism of the country through different colourful pictures.

He said the COP-22 provide great opportunity to make the world aware of the impact of climate change on Pakistani culture and tourism.
