ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan will have collaboration with China for establishing technical institutions in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) area to produce skilled labour, ensuring their productive role in the mega project.

This was revealed by Minister of State Engineer Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman in a meeting with Chinese delegation on Tuesday.

The delegation from World skills Competition, China Research Center Engineering Training Center of Tianjin University of Technology and Education, China was led by Director Professor Zhang Yuzhou.

Welcoming the Chinese delegation, the minister said that “Chinese are our brothers and we are collaborating in almost every sector with each other nowadays which is commendable”.

Joint technical University with China, teacher exchange program and establishing technical institutions in economic corridor area to provide skilled labour to the Chinese and other technical projects ongoing in Pakistan were discussed in the meeting.

The Chinese delegation is here for few days to visit the technical and vocational institutions of Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by the Federal Secretary Humayon Khan, Additional Secretary Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik, and Chairman National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Zulfiqar Cheema.
