ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s Country Director for Pakistan Xiaohong Yang called on the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar at his Office in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The federal minister thanked and appreciated the support being provided by the Asian Development Bank in the efforts of the government of Pakistan to mitigate the socio-economic impact of the (COVID-19) pandemic.
The minister also expressed the hope that economic and financial relations between the ADB and Pakistan would cultivate benefits in the future.
Both sides underscored the need for enhanced cooperation in the areas of financial aid and development projects in Pakistan in the wake of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, while addressing a webinar organized by MEDEF (Mouvement Des Enterprises De France) International, the Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) Atif R. Bokhari said that the “Board of Investment will facilitate French companies, through special interventions for creating linkages with major chambers and associations of trade and industry, in forming joint ventures with local and foreign companies and becoming part of the global value chain”.
The webinar was moderated by President Total Global Services Thierry Pflimlin, and attended by Ambassador of France to Pakistan and Ambassador of Pakistan to France along with business leaders from power, technology, financial services, and other sectors.
