ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has said that over 100,000 Scholarships worth Rs 5 billion have been given to the youth across the Country under the Kamyab Jawan Skills Scholarship Program.

While addressing a News Conference along with Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar in Islamabad on Friday, Farrukh Habib said that 38,000 Scholarships were given in Punjab, 20,000 in Sindh, 10,000 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6,000 in Balochistan, 2,000 each in Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan and 13,000 in Azad Kashmir. He said that 40 percent of the Scholarships were given to women.

The minister of state said that 100,000 more Scholarships will also be given under the Skill Development Program. He said that the program is providing hi-tech skills to the youth in 100 different fields including artificial intelligence, cyber security, mobile app development, and cloud computing.

In his remarks, Usman Dar said that under the Kamyab Jawan Program, loans of Rs 2 to 4 billion are being disbursed to the youth every month.

Usman Dar said that more initiatives will also be launched under the Kamyab Jawan program.
