Government of PakistanOpponents have no option but to face PML-N in next elections: Talal

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Talal Chaudhry on Friday said that opponents of the government have no option for escape and they have to face PML-N in the next general elections in 2018.

Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court in Islamabad after Panama Papers case hearing, he said it should be noted as why the courtroom was so full of opponents of Nawaz Sharif.

The PML-N leader said it was evident that these people just wanted the downfall of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Talal Chaudhry put three questions before the nation and asked whether it was proved that the prime minister had been involved in any corruption, whether it was proved that the prime minister misused his office and whether he made money or assets by misusing his powers.

Two days ago, it was pointed out during the court proceedings that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) could not prove the misuse of office and corruption of the prime minister, he added.

Talal Chaudhry said that the opponents could not prove specific allegations therefore the prime minister was Sadiq and Ameen.

Moreover, he said the case is not yet over, and it would finish on the day when terrorism is eliminated, China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is completed and power projects are executed.

Moscow says it won’t allow US to silence UNSC on Israeli violence against Palestinians Monitoring Desk: Russian envoy in United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that the UN Security Council should bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Middle East and Russia would not allow United States to silence UNSC over the issue of Gaza crisis. According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation. We will not allow the Americans to gag the entire council with their hands in an effort to encourage further continuation of Israel's ruthless operation," he said in a speech at the Security Council.
