Government of PakistanOnly people-serving parties to survive in future: Nawaz Sharif

MULTAN, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the politics of Pakistan stands changed today and only those parties filled with the spirit of serving the nation will survive in the political arena.

In his address at the Inauguration Ceremony of Metro Bus Service in Multan on Tuesday, the prime minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will continue to execute projects for the welfare of masses.

The prime minister said that some elements want to create obstacles in the way of progress and development. These elements hurl allegations but soon their own acts will stand exposed before the people, he said.

Nawaz Sharif said that power outages have been reduced to a significant level and about 10,000 megawatt of additional power will be added to the system this year. He reiterated that power outages will be eliminated next year.

Sharif further said that expanding the network of metro bus will provide modern transport facilities to the commuters. He said that some parties made big slogans of carving out new Pakistan but there are no modern transport facilities available in the province governed by them.

Talking about the Multan Bus Service, the prime minister said that he has not come to Multan to do politics or mislead the masses but give the gift of metro bus to the dwellers of the city. He said that Multan Metro Bus has been completed in the minimum possible time and it will be further expanded.

Earlier, the prime minister inaugurated the nearly Rs 29 billion Metro Bus Service in Multan aimed at providing the best and comfortable transport facilities to the local people.

The prime minister took a test ride of the bus along with Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif from Chongi No 9 to Bahauddin Zakariya University.
