ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudhry Barjees Tahir on Tuesday said October 27 would be observed as “Black Day” across Pakistan and abroad, expressing solidarity with Kashmiri brethren against the atrocious actions and brutalities perpetrated upon them by the Indian forces in Held Kashmir.

While presiding over a wide-ranging meeting in Islamabad, the minister said Pakistan would continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Indian Held Kashmir till the realization of their right to self-determination.

Barjees Tahir said Pakistan had always been supporting the just cause of Kashmiris through political, moral and political means, and would continue the support during all the times and climes and till Kashmiris achieved the holy grail of right to self-determination.

The United Nations resolution which had been endorsed by UN around dozen of times needed to be implemented in true spirit to end the unabated cruel subjugation of India, he added.

The minister said the just struggle of Kashmiris could not be suppressed by deploying 800,000 Indian forces.

The minister also referred to change of demography in Indian Occupied Kashmir. He said every Pakistani was supporting the Kashmiri cause, adding Kashmir was the jugular vein of Pakistan and the issue could not be resolved without giving Kashmiris their right to self-determination. He said all political parties had unanimity of views as far as Kashmir cause was concerned.

The meeting was attended by representatives of media organizations; Pakistan Television, Radio Pakistan, Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA), Press Information Department (PID), Information Ministry, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), Foreign Office, Lok Virsa and representatives of four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

The meeting also decided that black flags, posters, banners and placards would be displayed on the roadside, buildings, educational institutions, airports and other important places to bring into focus the draconian and black laws under which Kashmiris were being tortured.

The meeting urged the print, electronic, pictorial and social media to highlight the draconian measures and the steps of Indian forces aimed at crushing the just struggle of Kashmiris.
