BISPNo society can tolerate violation of human rights: Faisal Karim Kundi

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Faisal Karim Kundi has said that protection of human rights is the foundation of any civilized, fair and prosperous society; therefore, no society can tolerate the violation of human rights.

In his message on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, Faisal Karim Kundi said that December 10 is celebrated as International Human Rights Day and I appeal to the Pakistani nation on this day that not only respect the fundamental rights of others but also play every possible role in ensuring the protection of their human rights.

The special assistant further said that on this day, I appreciate the good initiative of the government of Pakistan to include the transgender community in Benazir Kafaalat program, which is an important step towards the restoration of the rights of this deprived section.

Faisal Karim Kundi said that the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is going to launch a dynamic registry through which the deprived families will be provided an opportunity to update their information and become part of this program.

The Ministry of Poverty Alleviation, especially BISP, is playing its role in the protection of human rights and will continue to do so in the future.
