ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Raza Naqvi on Wednesday presided over a meeting of the Core Committee on the security of Chinese Citizens in Islamabad, and emphasized that there will be no compromise or negligence in their protection.
The meeting was attended by the Federal Secretary of Interior, Secretary of Defence, National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority Pakistan (NACTA), Coordinator of the National Action Plan (NAP), and senior officials from law enforcement agencies (LEAs).
The Chief Secretaries, Inspectors General of Police (IGPs), and Home Secretaries of all provinces, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) participated in the meeting via video link.
The meeting conducted a comprehensive review of the security arrangements for Chinese Citizens across the Country.

While addressing the meeting, the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stressed the importance of completing the security audit of Chinese Citizens within the stipulated timeline.
The interior minister said that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the security of Chinese Citizens have been prepared in consultation with all relevant agencies.
Mohsin Naqvi urged all related organizations to collaborate and ensure 100% implementation of the new SOPs.
The minister also invited field agencies to provide further recommendations, which the Core Committee would review and implement if they offer potential improvements.
The Chief Secretaries and IGs of Police briefed the meeting on the measures taken to protect Chinese Citizens.
