ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will participate in the US-Arab and Islamic Summit which will be held later in May 2017 in Riyadh, the Capital of Saudi Arabia.
In this regard, an invitation was extended to the prime minister by the Saudi Minister for Information & Culture Dr Awwad Bin Saleh Al-Awwad when the later called on him at the PM House in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The Saudi minister extended the invitation to the prime minister to attend the Summit as the Special Envoy of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz.
The prime minister accepted the invitation of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques.
The Summit will also be attended by the US President Donald Trump who will mark his first visit to the Kingdom since he assumed the Office as the 45th US President in January 2017.
The meeting will focus on ways to enhance the cooperation between the Muslim Countries and the United States in the fight against extremism.
